A tale about introverted humans & bunnies

Creative writing · Comic/panel layouting

This story explores the connections that can be made between humans and creatures beyond shared speech. It is based on the personal growth of my family as they start living with rabbits that share the same shy personality. In this narrative, I wanted to show how introversion, which is sometimes taken as a negative trait, can be the key to unlocking barriers and creating deeper connections. It was part of a university task and was compiled as part of a class anthology.

All illustrations were drawn using graphite and hatching to convey a nostalgic mood throughout the comic. As the story condenses a series of events over 10 years, panels tend to show only the key scenes, ‘skipping’ the inbetween details for a quick tempo. In contrast, the page below on the right intentionally slows down the character’s action across several panels. This is to highlight how the emotional and physical gap gradually closes between rabbit and human.
